They require little maintenance, offer ample insulation for a home's interior, and also come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes designed to mimic different shingles or tiles which increases curb appeal. The main disadvantage with this type of roof is that it does not stand up well against extreme weather conditions which can make them quite expensive to maintain over time.
